US Media Consulting Releases 2013 Media Market Report for Latin America

March 11, 2013
This report addresses key topics including the growth of Internet and social media, the robust print media industry, the surge of pay TV, the rise of mobile Internet in Brazil and Latin America, and the influence of media on consumer purchase decisions.

MIAMI (March 11, 2013) — US Media Consulting, a leader in media services for companies targeting Brazil and Latin America, recently released a report analyzing the media market in Latin America. At an invitation-only event in Miami, the company shared the results of the report with top media agencies and consumer brands. Representatives from Havas, Initiative, MediaCom, Jardens and other firms were among the attendees.

“In helping brands connect with Latin American consumers through nearly 2,000 media campaigns a year, our team finds lots of interesting data,” explains Bruno Almeida, Chief Commercial Officer for US Media Consulting. “We saw a unique opportunity to share this data with our key clients and colleagues, so we created the report.”

The report covered a range of broad media market topics for Latin America, including the striking growth of the class C middle class, strong projected ad spend and media penetration. From a more specific standpoint, the report revealed trends in pay TV consumption in Latin America, the rapid surge in Internet usage, the mobile market’s significant expansion, which social media sites are now the most popular in the region, e-commerce trends and much more.

“We tried to balance the report to offer data for both the whole region and also key markets such as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia,” says Almeida. “We also focused on trying to include as much data as we could for smaller markets, including Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.”

The report is available for download here.

The company's next event—in which it will share a new report on the Latin American market—is scheduled for June 2013.
