Latin Americans are Booking More Travel Online

New research from eMarketer shows Latin Americans are making more and more travel arrangements via the Internet
Recent figures from eMarketer suggest that the travel industry should look to invest more in digital marketing to reach Latin American travelers. Here’s why:
- Online travel sales growth for Latin America is forecast to be 30% in 2013, after 35% growth in 2012—this is the largest growth in all regions in the world
- Online travel sales in Latin America will nearly double from 15 billion in 2012 to $29 billion by 2015
- By 2016, online travel sales will represent 39% of overall travel sales in Latin America
- 31% of Latin American Internet users access online travel sites, including 36% of Brazilian Internet users, 36% of Argentine Internet users and 26% of Mexican Internet users.
